Quality policy
COMPANY’S POLICY
General Fruit S.r.l. Administration, with the firm will to constantly improve its own quality standards, asks for the cooperation of all its employees in order to implement in their organisation a modern managment of the Quality department, implementing the aims and fundamental principles of all the certification schemes that they have decided to follow and to comply with the current regulations applicable, to ensure quality, legalty and safety of the manufactured products (food and cosmetic).
The Administration’s aims, achivable with the implementation of a quality and safety system, are:
- The distribution of safe and authentic products in accordance with the law, taking personal responsability for their customers/consumers;
- Conformity with the mandatory requirements and compliance, as far as applicable, with the voluntary requirements and requirements agreed with the customer with reference to Quality, Environment, Food Safety, Traceability, Workplace Safety, Consumer Safety, Work quality for Employees;
- The promotion of quality and development, focused on the improvement of the product offered;
- A thorough evaluation of suppliers: research and selection of raw materials, packagings and services for which the authenticity of the raw materials/packaging can be monitored and verified;
- A constant improvement in the internal management, through the effinciency of organisation, in compliance with the regulations and mandatory provisions;
- An improved management of human resources, infrastructures, facilities and equipments;
- The prevention and solution of risks for consumers’ safety, for personnel’s and enviroment’s health, and for food safety;
- The improvement of personnel’s involvement through motivation and awarness-rising;
- The increase of customers and consumers’ satisfaction;
- The establishment and maintenance of a correct food safety culture, providing evidence to prove it;
- Ensure the constant improvement of the food-safety management system;
To achieve these aims, the Administration applies the following regulations and processing methods, committing to:
- Do not use transgenic or genetically modified products (GMOs);
- To correctly manage ingredients with allergens: to declare their presence in the products in accordance with the current legislation and to pay special attention in the processing, handling and monitoring of the allergens in products, avoiding contamination between different references;
- To follow the hygenic and sanitary rules related to food safety of the product, declared in their Quality Manual and Company’s Self-Monitoring Manual;
- To follow current laws related to quality, enviroment, safety and legality and the contractual regulations;
- Implement and maintain an efficient traceablity system for the products;
- To maintain valid ISO 9001 and FSSC 2200 quality certifications in standard times;
- To take proper actions to ensure the constant improvement of all processes, without neglecting interconnetions and functional links in different company wards;
- To maintain a system that guarantees constant training and updates: proceeding with finding new developments in science and techonology, ethical codes in the field, new risks related to the authenticity of raw materials, all the applicable legal requirements of the raw material supplying country, of the production country and, where known, of the selling products country;
- To limit its activity’s enviromental impact by proper waste management;
- To assign precise responsibilities to different levels of personnel involved and to provide proper informations and training to all the personnel regarding Quality Systems requirements, so they can be understood and shared;
- To carefully evaluate the expertise and competence of human resources involved in the processes that represent the reference of the quality delivered and perceived by customers;
- To introduce social-responsibility principles in order to support human values and to engage in responsible behaviors, dealing with their activities in a proper manner, well aware of social expectations;
- To choose collaborative Suppliers and Contractors, in compliance with this policy;
- To maintain a collaborative, approchable and proactive attitude with Clients, Suppliers and Authorities;
- To periodically review company’s policy and the application of Management Systems in order to evalute their effectiveness and the results achieved;
- To ensure the Administration’s effort to institute a management system that involves all the employees and that guarantees proper food-safety practices;
In the addition to the above-mentioned, the Administration sets the following goals, through a cosmetic quality and safety policy:
- Implementation and improvement of GMP regulations in each company level
- Improvement of customer’s satisfaction rating
These goals can be achieved by following these actions:
- To follow the hygenic and sanitary rules related to food safety of the product, declared in their Quality Manual and Company’s Self-Monitoring Manual;
- To follow current laws related to quality, enviroment, safety and legality and the contractual regulations;
- To take proper actions to ensure the constant improvement of all processes, without neglecting interconnetions and functional links in different company wards;
- To maintain a system that guarantees constant training and update of all company functuions;
- To assign precise responsibilities to different levels of personnel involved and to provide proper informations and training to all the personnel regarding Quality Systems requirements, so they can be understood and shared;
- To carefully evaluate the expertise and competence of human resources involved in the processes that represent the reference of the quality delivered and perceived by customers;
- To introduce social-responsibility principles in order to support human values and to engage in responsible behaviors, dealing with their activities in a proper manner, well aware of social expectations;
- To choose collaborative Suppliers and Contractors, in compliance with this policy;
- To maintain a collaborative, approchable and proactive attitude with Clients, Suppliers and Authorities;
- To periodically review company’s policy and the application of Management Systems in order to evalute their effectiveness and the results achieved;
- To ensure awerness of all food-safety hazards for all their workers;
- To introduce effective internal and external comunication tools, including communication of deviations and expectations;
The exent of these goals requires the utmost support from the Company Administration, but also the involment and collaboration of their personnel, to pursue the Company’s and employees’ growth and improvement.
It is Administration’s responsability to ensure that this policy is communicated, understood and applied on all levels of the organization and that it is made available to all the relevant parties.
